Definition of Steno: The art OR act of writing in shorthand OR a way of writing rapidly is called as Stenography. Stenography is the mixture of two different classes i.e. Typewriting and Shorthand.
About Stenography Occupation: Mostly the profession of steno is appointed in Courts. In Indian Court, the human who are responsible to record proceedings in shorthand are called Stenographer treated as State OR Public Official officer. The appointment of Steno is done by court through officer act that will the subject of public records. The term of the office of stenographer is supervised by Statues. The Stenographer is responsible to present in court during whole trail proceeding.
The Stenographer make note of what happened during trail, transcribe it and deposit these notes to courts with in specified time. The Stenographer is also called with the name of Court Stenographer, Court Reporter, Shorthand Reporter, Steno-type Operator, and Law Reporter.
Eligibility Norms for Steno under Govt Jobs: Candidates should have Senior Secondary Examination (12th Class) OR Bachelor Degree as per grade wise and Equivalent from recognized Board and University with Dictation/ Stenography Skill for 10 Minute at 80 word per minute in English OR Hindi and transcribe the material facts with in 65 minute if Hindi and 50 minute if English.
Salary Scale: Candidates appointed against the designation of Stenographer Grade-II will entitled to receive monthly salary of Rs. 5200- 20200+ Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (PB-I).
